RAC Arena Roundtable - Mental Health in Sport

The next instalment in RAC Arena‘s Roundtable series is here – with host Robbie Figg, Sunday Aryang from the West Coast Fever, Paralympic Rugby player – Robyn Lambird, Heath Tessman from the Western Force, and ex Wildcats captain – Damian Martin.
These incredible athletes say down to discuss what mental health on their performance, and why self care is so important in sport.
Task
In collaboration with Peach & Pineapple, we were to produce a similar output to the previous Roundtable discussions – a roughly 40 minute video covering all the topics discussed on the day.
Approach
This approach was the same formula as the previous Roundtable discussions that we’ve done for RAC Arena, setting up multiple cameras that each focus on one, two, or all of the subjects. This is to ensure we have complete coverage of the discussion, allowing us to cut between the action.
Post production wise, we wanted to stick with that same black and white footage for the intro as it just worked so well the first time – while also shaving off the um’s and ah’s in between people speaking. The conversation flowed so naturally between everyone, editing this was super enjoyable.
Result
As usual we had an amazing time producing this piece for RAC Arena, and working alongside the team at Peach and Pineapple is always an awesome time.
